Do you trust a poll to give a mandate to a government?
You could say that voters are too selfish and too ignorant
When it comes down to it they just want what's best for them
To easy to direct like livestock herded in a pen
There's not a test for wisdom when it's time to cast a vote
Foolishness can align with the views that they promote

My dreams keep me awake at night
I find myself thinking of them though I need respite
From the grind of life, but I can't get to sleep
Tiredness the next day is what I will reap

Everybody's life resides in a different key
